Enjoy reading your papers. And profiting from the ARTs paper. For the GOM, was there a long signal this morning, Monday Sept 12, 2011. Not that I plan to play it. Just wanting to confirm my understand.

    Thanks.

Just purchased and looked through your paper. Looks simple enough and sound as price movement is the ultimate indicator. Look forward to putting it into action with my trades on the BGU/BGZ in my 401k using the 60 minute chart!

      Sounds like a great! idea.
We’ll have an even more advanced Trading System based on Simply 5% coming out within the next week . . .
and will be offering it to current Simply 5% owners for half price.
Look for an email to present this offer to you when the time comes.
      Good Luck !!!

I just purchased your e-book yesterday. Have you ever discussed how you decide which option to play-ITM or OTM, how far out, etc.?
    Thanks,Mark

#6 written by StocksDoc  (8 months ago)

No, for that low price I have not gotten into HOW to Trade options.
Basically … I like to Trade OTM options .. one strike-price out.
I feel it gives me a very amplified gain if the underlying moves in my direction . . .
while still being a low-price for entry.
I also make sure I choose the month that gives my Trading System time-frame to play out.
If options expire in one week but I am Trading the Daily Chart that may not fully play out for another week or three, then I will choose one month further out.
If I am Trading the 15-minute Chart, then I can expect action before the expiration in one week.
      Good Luck !!!
btw, I should have an Upgraded eBook out within a week or two which will have some more details and extra Signals and Commentary. I will offer it at half price to those who bought our first Trading System already.

Is this a pure price trading system Please

    • StocksDoc
#8 written by StocksDoc  (8 months ago)

      Hi Malcom . . the Simply 5% Trading System IS a pure price System . . .
We have an Upgraded System coming out soon that adds some wise Technical Analysis to the Signals .. eliminating some whipsaw.
Check back here over the next week or two for its release.
However, the Simply 5% System is good and is priced RIGHT for you to have a look at what we do.

I want to have a look at what you do as I found your Public List section on Stockcharts.com interesting

If you don’t day trade but look at charts for short term trade set ups, is this system good for this type trading. I look at the charts late each evening for developing trade opportunities.
    Thanks,
    Garrett

      great! question Garrett . . .
YES! .. that is exactly how I have been Trading nowadays.
The Simply 5% Trading System provides Trading Setups for four (4) different time-frames: 5-min, 15-min, 60-min, and Daily.
I actually use it in reverse . . since I also provide a Stock Scanner for the Daily setup, I look for stocks meeting the Daily time-frame requirements for a Buy and then I use one or more of the intraday setups to time my entry/exit more precisely.

Couple of questions regarding the system.

    1) Being mechanical – is it spreadsheet based?
    2) If not – can the parameters be set up on Stockcharts.com?
    3) Are there daily and variable set ups?
    4) For variable set-ups – can you use any time frame or only certain ones like 60 min?

Sorry for asking so many questions – the price is definitely right.

      Hey Michael . . .
      1 – no, not spreadsheet based . . . TicTac just shows Weekly Signals in a spreadsheet, but . . .
2 – yes!, it is Stock Chart based and the parameters CAN be shown on Stockcharts.com
      3 – yes!, there are four setups: daily, 60-min, 15-min, and 5-min. . . . each with different parameters
      4 – see (3) . . . although if you used the 5- or 15- minute version on a 10-min time-frame, it’ll still give you good alerts and trends
      No problem with the questions!
      I’m glad you like the price . . .
I will be making an advanced version of it over the next few weeks and will be raising the price . . .
if you Buy this one now, I’ll give you the newer version for half-price when it comes out.
      Good Luck !!!

Will the advanced version take out some of the whipsaws?

      • StocksDoc
#15 written by StocksDoc  (8 months ago)

yes . . and as a result, it will give less frequent, but Stronger and Longer Signals.
It will be geared more for medium-term Holds …
but can be used in any time-frame.
It will be called the Amplified Retirement Trading System (ARTS) . . .
look for it at your favorite Trading System seller (StocksDoc.com) …
        coming real soon.
NOTE: wrt the current Simply 5% Trading System, remember to wait for the bar to Close of the time-frame used before taking a Signal.
Also, I don’t believe in the term “whipsaws” except on rare occasions usually around a Big News Report.
You should only expect to Hold a position entered using a specific time-frame for a length of four- to six- times that time-frame if a longer-term Trend does not develop.
i.e. if using a 5-minute Chart, you should expect another Signal within 25-minutes to get you out if the Trade is moving against you (stop-loss).
I have not experienced “whipsaws” using the appropriate time-frame for the Simply 5% System.
Remember, there will be winners and losers . . . using other Trend Tools will help you trade in the right direction.
That is something that is added to the ARTS System eBook.

LOL! . . man I sure hope so. I am almost done, but had a fellow Trader here with us proof-read it and she said it was hard to understand … doh!
So I have just been adding to it this week to make it easier to understand. I should hear back tonight if I got it right.
My style of writing is to build from simple to complex . . so if you only read the first few “simple” chapters, you wouldn’t know where the Trading Signals are. I had given her an incomplete version and that is what she ran into . . I hadn’t finished the full details yet.
So . . . I think I will be releasing it by the end of the weekend .. that is my deadline !!

I read your posts on IHUB and you give projections for price sometimes along with other tactics that do not seem to come from the 5% system. Is this something that is divulged when one becomes a member of your site?

        Thanks

        Hi Michael . . . great! question.
Besides that one Trading System currently for sale, I am an active Trader and have many tools in my chest.
I am just recently starting to put hem all in eBook form . . . and you’ll see more become available for the public in coming weeks.
ALSO . . . I do teach general (simplified) T/A and Trading Methodology to Premium and above StocksDoc.com Members.
So, when I provide a link in my iHub post to something you can’t access . . that would be something I specifically posted about and is only available to Members.
When I just post some numbers (like this morning’s Resistance numbers that nailed it!) on iHub or somewhere else public, it comes from my general methodology and experience and ability to read Charts . . . which I do often teach to members as well.
SO . . . the overall answer to your question is “Yes”, Members do have more insight to my knowledge and experience . . but I can’t guarantee that for $7 you’ll soon know everything I magically post about in just one month. ;-)

Can you plze give a contact number or email address to ask a few questions about this programme. Your stockcharts page is unbelievable but this page has hardly any info on it, just buy the ebook! Does the subscription allow you to get to see your live option plays? And is there anything else besides that can make one a better trader?

    Thanks & best regards.

Can you give some more info. on th Simply 5% Trading System.

Hey Garrett . . . no, it is a Mechanical Charting System that you can put up on your own charts.
It details what to look for using those specific Indicators so that you can use the System on any Stocks and/or Charts you want. It is very simple .. hence the low price.
For a limited time, I will be including a Simply 5% Stock Scanner as well.
This way you can easily find Stocks that meet the Simply 5% Buy Uppers rules.
Then use the Simply 5% Trading System to know when to Hold or Sell or Short or Add,
